Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is Anonamed?

ANONAMED.com is a web app that securely stores your critical medical information as a QR code to display on your phone's locked screen. This allows first responders like paramedics, doctors, and nurses to instantly access your essential medical details in an emergency, potentially saving your life.

2. How much does it cost?

Currently, Anonamed is free during the beta phase while we refine the platform. After beta, we plan to charge $10 per year (less than $1 per month). Early users who provide feedback can request Charter Membership – Free for Life by emailing us.

3. Should I list my full name?

You can use just a first name, nickname, or alias for more privacy. Using the name that friends and family call you may help medical staff wake you if needed.

4. Should I use my normal email?

Yes, but for additional privacy, you can create a new email. All emails are stored separately in an encrypted database. We recommend Yahoo Mail for easy new account creation.

5. Do I need to enter my full medical history?

Not necessarily. Some sections, like Mental Health, are optional. However, critical information such as allergies, anesthesia risks, heart conditions, diabetes, and blood disorders should be included.

6. I can't see my allergy, condition, or medication in the list.

Not all conditions or medications are listed. You can add missing details using the "Other" option and enter your information manually.

7. I cannot see my QR code.

Ensure you have completed all sections and clicked Generate QR Code. If the QR code doesn't appear, try using a different browser. Save the QR code to your photo gallery, crop it to fit, and set it as your **locked screen wallpaper**.

8. Can others scan my QR code?

Yes, but they won’t see personal identifiers like your full name. For extra privacy, use a phone case with a cover or keep your phone close at all times.

9. Will it work overseas?

Yes, the app works globally. If traveling, switch your language settings to match your destination. The app can translate your medical information into the local language to help medical professionals understand your condition.
